I hate movies like this

I mean, I literally despise them...but damn...
Your animation was fuckin awesome, the flow, movement, anticipation, everything...awesome. This thing overflows with style.
I cant hate this, as much as I want to. Its way too well done, far too stylish. Supernifty one may go as far as to say.

Way to play the hypocrit

Your movies description boasts ignorance...
you act as if there was nothing bad on the portal before the coming of strawberry clock, and dont bother to correct that in your disclaimer. If there wasnt a disclaimer, it would simply have been a joke, but you portray this as your opinion.

In making a cry against bad movies, you make another matrix rip off with poor animation and barely mediocre art. Sorry man, but no. Open your eyes and start watching some "under judgement" movies. A lot of what gets blammed, or even survives makes most clocks seem like masters. The watch "atomic bar", or "the portal", and realize that clocks are just a subculture of animators, some good, some bad. more bad than good, but still..

everything was nice, but the sound was...lacking

and to spoon_man. You cant claim an idea as yours when you dont publish it...I dont see any flash made by you on your profile, no rhave I seen anything else about a robot jesus...theres action jesus, disco fever jesus, GI jesus, but no robot jesus to my recollection.

sooo close to a classic

Love the family guy feel to it, and the jokes are realisticly funny (if cheap sometimes, but who doesnt love a cheap joke?).
If the animation were improved, this would be a steadfast classic

lacking somehow...

not bad, but your characters were right out of picos school

good...but...

you took an entire year to make this...anyone who followed the series would think that after all that time, youd actually bother to conclude it.
though I digress...this was very, very good, despite my loathing of stick flicks

*twitch....twitch*

that sounds...the music...three seperate tracks were playing at the same time at the end....
Aside from that, its another spritefight, with some attempted style. The mix of drawings and sprites could work, but the drawings would need heavy improving, no offence
A lot more effort shows in this than in a lot of stuff here, even though thats really not saying anything.
You should have cleaned it up though,,..theres more than a single instance where theres more than one sprite of knux at the same time, and the custom (punshing) bits of sprites were anything but good, im sorry to say
although I will say keep at it. potential does show, but it will need a heavy amnount of nurturing.

Very nicely done

As impressicve as it is that someone would bother to create something of this depth for newgrounds (clocks don't rhomp that many other alleyways of this internet), what I find even more impressive is that your actually getting a good score from the NG crowd, which typically has the attention span of a gnat cumulativly. (I know theres a better word for that, but im tired). Though each word was worth listening to, and little of it could be denied, though the very subject folds back in on itself when you start to analyze, as Ive found at least.
The ending was a reminder not to take anything too seriously, and nicely done. Good work.

Nice(ish) idea...

but god forbid you actually ANIMATE something

this has potential...

you have a story, and it holds attention even though it relies on violence, like so much else out there. The biggest problem is the art. The art needs serious work. Fewer gradiants, characters need to look a little less flat. The previous review (talking about childrens drawings going at it) isnt that far off, but he was a little harsh. Art needs work, animation could stand to be better, but the standards here are low, and what you can do is plenty good for the movie you making. Art my friend...get some mood to go with the story, and dont work with the first draft you got when drawing the characters out.

mmark-oldflash responds:

What do you mean mood to go with the story? There is a mood. The mood is a dark atmosphere of post-apocalyptic midevil times set against the view point of a mage. If you can't see past critically-acclaimed terrible art and animation to a gripping story, I really don't know what to say. After all, I'm not even out of High School, worked on this all by myself and provided all the voice work within a limited amount of time. I think that's pretty damn. So how about showing some appreciation for someone who actually threw some shows with a plot into the NG stew?

My camera sucks, so I resort to cheap photoshop tricks. Sheer Genius.
